East Whiteland Fire Company StandbyJune 28- This evening, the members of West Bradford assisted the East Whiteland Fire Company by providing an engine to cover their district while they held their annual fair. WBYA Balloon FestivalJune 21- Today, members of the members of West Bradford attended the second annual WBYA Balloon Festival. The members took part in the festivities including food and a rare viewing of "Beaglus Maximus". Just as the apparatus was staging for the beginning of the standby, the Station was dispatched to Highland Orchards for what turned out to be food on the stove. Minquas of Downingtown 100th Anniversary and HousingJune 21- The members of West Bradford were invited to attend the 100th Anniversary and multi-housing for Minquas Fire Company. The members of Station 46 housed 5 pieces of equipment during the celebration, and the members of WBFC were honored to be asked to help with 2 of the units. Engine 46-2, the newest piece of the response fleet and Ambulance 46-2, a frequent visitor to incidents in West Bradford Township. Boot Weekend success!!June 14-15- This weekend several members took part in the first boot weekend of the year. Members braved the traffic of Marshallton-Thorndale and Poorhouse Roads for several hours each day to collect much needed funds for the Operations Division. Thank you to all who contributed. Special recognition goes to Lieutenant Rich Fachet for organizing the event. Great job!!
Brush 39 takes Second PlaceJune 7- Today several of the members of West Bradford attend the 100th Anniversary Celebration for the Good Will Fire Company of the West Chester Fire Department. Brush 39 earned a second place in the "Best Appearing and Equiped Brush Piece". Special recognition goes to Rescue Captain Terry Lewis and Firefighter Brian Shertzer for their hard work.
