Pennsylvania State Police Embreeville, will be conducting a free car seat safety check at the West Bradford Fire Co substation on Monday, May 13, 2019. The substation is located at the corner of Marshallton - Thorndale and Poorhouse Roads. The car seat event is being held from 3:00pm until 7:00pm, please see the attached flyer, for more information. It is estimated that 618,000 children under 14 years of age ride in automobiles without a safety seat or restraint system and motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of injuries and deaths in children. It is estimated that 120,000 children each year are injured as the result of vehicle accidents. Proper use of car seats can reduce the risk of injury and death by 70% when safety seats are used properly. Please have your seat checked and protect the young passengers in your vehicle.
