By Chief Jack Law III
January 16, 2018

Tuesday the company along with Station 37 Ambulance was dispatched to Stouff Road, north of West Chester Road for the auto accident, with reported wires down. Units made the response and Chief 39 arrived to find the vehicle in the front yard of a nearby residence and the power pole snapped with wires down and the transformer laying on the ground with a localized power outage. Upon visual inspection crews approached the vehicle after making sure it was clear of the live wires and the patient was removed and placed in the ambulance for transport to a local hospital. The crew from Station 39 remained on scene for PECO to confirm the electrical wires were not energized and were safe. Fire Police closed the roadway to keep everyone out of the area until the wires were removed from the roadway. 39 crews cleared, while PSPE awaited for the tow company to remove the vehicle.
